Recover guest carts and unpaid checkouts with a restore link, a 3-step email sequence and unique coupons.

Most abandoned-cart modules only email logged-in rows from oc_cart. Guests have no email there, and OpenCart often already wrote an unpaid order (status 0) at confirm. This app captures all three: account carts, guest email after checkout/guest save, and unpaid checkouts.

A signed restore URL puts products and options back into the cart via the core cart library. Out-of-stock items are skipped with a notice. Prices are always live. An optional unique coupon is stored in oc_coupon (one use, guests allowed). It does not overwrite a Welcome discount code.

Three fixed steps (defaults 1h / 24h / 72h after the cart is idle). Step 1 is a reminder without a coupon. Steps 2 and 3 can add a percentage coupon or free shipping. HTML mail matches the Gommans black/red style, with EN and NL defaults, placeholders, and unsubscribe (own list, not the OpenCart newsletter). No open-tracking pixel — clicks on the restore link are counted.

Cron is a token URL, max 50 emails per run. A live page view never sends bulk mail. Default EU soft opt-in: only addresses the shopper typed at account or checkout. Optional strict mode: newsletter customers only.

Admin hub tile with overview KPIs (carts, mails, restore clicks, recovered orders and revenue), settings, sequence, cart list, coupons, manual send and test mail.

Not included: SMS, exit-intent popup (that would clash with Welcome discount & popup), IP matching of anonymous visitors, OpenCart 4, or a license lock.

This package includes the Gommans & Co Apps hub. Apps work without a license key. A maintenance key is optional and never locks features.

Documentatie / installatie

• Extensions → Installer → upload the .ocmod.zip
• Extensions → Modifications → Refresh
• Install Gommans & Co Apps from Modules only if it is not installed yet
• Open Gommans & Co Apps and install / edit this app
• In Gommans & Co Apps, click Install next to Abandoned Cart, then Edit.
• Copy the cron URL from Overview and call it every hour (wget/curl). Storefront page views do not send mail.
• Test with a logged-in cart or a guest checkout email, wait for the idle delay (or send a step from the Carts tab), and open the restore link.

Maintenance key

The product is not license-gated. Optional maintenance contract key format (symbolic, not included as a working key): GOM-MAINT-XXXX-XXXX.

Valid key = “Maintenance active” in the hub. Invalid or empty key = label only. Features stay on.
